Ardoyne - the Untold Truth

Authors: Ardoyne Commemoration Project
The Ardoyne Commemoration Project is a project initiated and done by local people from Ardoyne. That's the reason why they managed to get the trust and the openness of people being interviewed on very personal and traumatic experiences. All the interviewed people were given the opportunity of reading their own interview in the books context before print. This was done to ensure a maximum of ownership of the Ardoyne people. Four years of intensive work were necessary to finish the book.
The hundreds of Ardoyne people who joined the launch of the book on August 15, 2002 were a manifestation of that ownership.
